User Manual Cloud Backup with Linux/Windows

Part 1. Activate your account

• Checking email activation:

From: noreply-abc@cloud.acronis.com

Subject: Active account

• Click Active account. Enter your account password:

• Accept Legal terms.

• After finished. Access: https://sg-cloud.acronis.com/bc with email/password or username/password.

Part 2. Set up Agent

1. Backup Linux machine

1.1 Download Agent

• Access Cloud backup control panel

• Add device

• Click Server -> Linux

Binary run: “Backup_Agent_for_Linux_x86_64.bin”

1.2 Install Agent

• Copy Binary file to your server/vm want to backup.
• [SSH] Allow execute .bin

# chmod +x Backup_Agent_for_Linux_x86_64.bin

• [SSH] Run .bin

# ./Backup_Agent_for_Linux_x86_64.bin

• [SSH] “Acronis Backup Agent for Linux” -> Next

• [SSH] “Show registration info”

• Using your browser -> Enter Registration code -> “CHECK CODE”

• Check Device -> “CONFIRM REGISTRATION”

• Add Device success.

1.3 Set up backup

• Access Cloud backup control panel

• Enable Backup.

• New backup plan:

➔WHAT TO BACK UP:

◆Entire machine

◆Disks/volumes

◆Files/Folders

➔WHERE TO BACK UP

◆Cloud storage (recommend)

◆Local folders

◆Network folder

◆NFS folder

➔SCHEDULE

➔HOW LONG TO KEEP

➔ENCRYPTION

• Example:

➔Entire machine.

➔Cloud storage.

➔None schedule.

➔Keep backup indefinitely.

➔No encryption.

Finish -> CREATE

• CREATE -> RUN NOW.

or BACK UP NOW

• If Backup failed: SocketError. Allow Firewall incoming port: 9850, 43234. Service “mss”

1.4 Recover

• Click RECOVER

• 2 mode recover:

➔Entire machine

➔Files/folders

• [Recover] Files/folders -> Recover

➔Original location

➔Custom location

Example /root

• [Recover] Entire machine -> START RECOVERY

2. Backup Windows machine

2.1 Download Agent

• Access Cloud backup control panel

• Add device

• Click Server -> Windows

Binary run: “Backup_Agent_for_Windows_web.exe”

2.2 Install Agent

• Run Agent .exe -> Yes to run Unknown publisher.

• “Install”

• “Register the machine”

• Check Device -> “CONFIRM REGISTRATION”

• Add Device success.

2.3 Cấu hình backup

• Access Cloud backup control panel

• Enable Backup.
• New backup plan:

➔WHAT TO BACK UP:

◆Entire machine

◆Disks/volumes

◆Files/Folders

➔WHERE TO BACK UP

◆Cloud storage (recommend)

◆Local folders

◆Network folder

◆NFS folder

➔SCHEDULE

➔HOW LONG TO KEEP

➔ENCRYPTION

• Example:

➔Entire machine.

➔Cloud storage.

2.4 Recover

• Click RECOVER

• “SELECT MACHINE”

• Choose device Recover

• 2 mode recover:

➔Entire machine

➔Files/folders

• [Recover] Files/folders -> Recover

➔Original location

➔Custom location

Example User folder:

• [Recover] Entire machine -> START RECOVERY

3. Backup website

3.1 Setup backup

Warn:❖Agent only supports Linux (web server).❖Backup file/folder at “home” user. Example: /home/vina or /root with user_root.❖Backup all databases in user_mysql, with “grant all privileges” at least 1 database.Progress:

• Access Cloud backup control panel

• Add device

• Applications -> Website

• Enter SSH -> Next

Website: vinahost.vnHost: x.x.x.x (IP web server address)

Port SSH: 22

User SSH: root (backup /root)

• Info access MySQL:

Host: x.x.x.x (IP web server address)Port MySQL: 3306User name MySQL: vina (backup all databases of user vina)Pasword MySQL: ********

3.2 ecover

• WEBSITES -> Choose website -> RECOVER

• Recover Files/Folders or SQL Databases

• [Files/Folders] -> Recover

• [Files/Folders] No support custom location

• [SQL databases] Choose database -> Recover

• [SQL databases] Overwritten
